Akhekhu (ahk-ehk-hoo)

Akhekhu

Akhekhus (Ahk-ehk-hoo) were four-legged snakes about the size of a horse. They could be ridden and were considered to be military-grade mounts. Military Mounts were animals that were supposed to be too dangerous for public use. Because of the akhekhus’ venomous bite, they were ruled unsuitable for public transportation by the World Court of Fabella in 5784

Native to all regions except the arctic and antarctic, akhekus were found around the world. They were swift, lean reptiles capable of running at a top speed of 55mph, making them the fastest mountable animal in the world. Cobra like hoods were rare and a sign the akheku would grow to be extremely powerful. Their long tails could be moved with an extraordinary amount of self-control so that they could even pick up objects.
