Attercroppe (aht-ehr-krawp)
Attercroppes were fleet-footed bipedal snakes. The average attercroppe was about two feet tall. Found in temperate regions across the globe, their feet beat so fast that they could run on water. Attercroppes lived in tight colonies of about a hundred or so members. They were excellent climbers and resided predominantly in the canopies of trees. An attercroppe’s spine was so flexible they could do amazing acrobatics between trees, using their tail like monkeys to grasp onto limbs and vines.
They were capable of using simple tools and weapons like a bow and arrow, but hadn’t mastered anything past technology present in ancient time periods. An attempt was made to give them tiny guns during the Second Continental War in the hopes of training a colony into a stealthy fighting force. However, the attercroppes just beat each other with the guns like clubs and the project was abandoned.
