Chiron (kir-awn)

Chiron was a centaur and an Olympian part of the children raised by Emit in Chronos’ Mouth. As a baby the boy was caught in a net made of ogobite silk. Hades was the first to tease Chiron for not being a person. Emit put the child in timeout for a solid week just for saying such a thing.

While trapped in the cave, Chiron became fluent in sign language. He was traditionally the most sensitive and level headed of the Olympians and the one who most resisted characteristics of his father Set. Relentless harrassment and bullying dominated Chiron’s childhood in the cave. He was a clear favorite of Emit’s. Chiron served as a driving force in making Emit realize he had to get the children out of the cave.
