Derketo (dehr-keht-oh)
Derketo (dehr-keht-oh) were the only whales endemic to the polar regions of Fabella. They had a long hard nose to break through thick ice for feeding. With an average lifespan of 250 years, they were among the longest living species in the world. Equipped with a set of sharp teeth, derketo whales were one of the most threatening carnivors of the ocean deep. They mostly struck through the ice, hunting in groups and tearing prey to shreds. Derketos were so efficient with their kills that nothing would be left by the time they were finished.
