Lapro (lahp-roh)
LaprosĀ were among the first canines domesticated on the island. The typical male lapro had brown fur with black spots and a thin mane running down the back to the tail. Their short hair made their natural tropical habitat easy to stand. Lapros spent most of the day sleeping in trees. Hunting was a sport they mostly undertook at night. A pack of lapros helped bring in more food to early tribes. They behaved similar to wolves and lions with one alpha male to a pack of females. Male lapros either left to create their own packs when they were old enough or challenged their alpha for dominance of the pack.
