Nortag Bear (nohr-tahg behr)
Nortag Bears were elk crossed with polar bears. It was the largest of bear species in Fabella and the arctic’s top predator. Nortags spent most of their time in the water. They would often hunt using their antlers as spears and methods to punch through the thick ice. A layer of body fat and a water-repellant coat insulated them from the cold air. They were considered incredibly talented swimmers able to sustain a pace of 10 mph by paddling with their front paws and holding their hind legs flat like a rudder.
